- For those who do not have Internet access at home, we now have an automated Telephone Renewal System. (If you have Internet access at home, the quickest and easiest way to renew is via My Library Account.)
- To renew your items by telephone, call 221-6687. You will need to have your library card number and the barcode numbers from the items you want to renew.
- After listening to the introduction, press 1 to go to your Library Record.
- Enter your library card number followed by the # sign. Your number will be repeated back to you. Press # if it is correct, and press * if you need to reenter it.
- You will have four options. Press 1 to renew items; press 2 to hear a list of items you have checked out; press 3 to hear a list of items you have on hold, and press 4 to find out if you have any charges.
- Press 1 to renew. The computer will tell you the number of items that you have checked out, and the number of items that can be renewed. Overdue items cannot be renewed via Telephone Renewal System. To renew items that are overdue, please call 224-6069.
- To renew all of your items, press 1. It will then list the barcodes and give you the new due date for each item.
- The new due date will be three weeks from the day that you renew the item, not three weeks from the original due date. (Videos have a one week renewal.)
- To renew one item at a time, press 2. Enter the last four digits of the barcode from the first item you want to renew. The number will be repeated to you. Press # if it is correct, or press * if you need to reenter the number. Then it will read the entire barcode and tell you the new due date. Repeat this process for each item you are renewing.
- Items will not be renewed if:
- They are overdue.
- You have already renewed them 2 times.
- A hold has been placed on the item and someone is waiting for it.
- You have over $5.00 in fines on your card.
